Sports and Solar – Patriot Place gets major solar power installation

It was only a few days ago that I blogged about the installation of a system at Pocono Raceway. Now, the New England Patriots have announced they have completed the installation of a 525-kilowatt solar system. Follow this link to read more from BusinessWeek.
Sports is big business as well as entertainment. In an economic climate where the average person is taking a hard look at how they spend their money for things such as entertainment (i.e. sporting events), the leadership of these facilities now realize more than ever the benefits of renewable energy. From both the business perspective and the social awareness aspect.
It’s a wonderful thing when doing the socially responsible thing is also a great business decision.
