California To Get A Third Of Power From Renewables by 2020

New regulation was approved yesterday in California that requires utilities to draw one third of their power from renewable sources by 2020. Remember, 2020 is less than 10 years away.
Currently, California derives approx. 14% of its energy from renewables exclusive of hydro and nuclear.
For comparison, Hawaii has enacted similar regulations that require 40% renewables by 2030.
